Make Hinglish captions in three steps

  1. STEP 1

    Open your clip

Sign in, upload a video or audio file and use Auto detect for Hindi and English speech.

  2. STEP 2

    Choose Roman letters

Select the output currently labelled Roman Urdu. It also converts Hindi words to Roman letters while retaining English words.

  3. STEP 3

    Review, style and export

Correct names and spellings, adjust word timing and choose a caption style. Export the captioned video or an SRT file.

Hindi + English, written in Roman letters

Hinglish captions can follow Hindi speech with English words inside the sentence. Capflair uses its Hindi transcription and Roman-letter conversion workflow for this output. It does not translate every sentence into English.

The editor currently calls this output Roman Urdu. Its spelling defaults follow Roman Urdu conventions, so review Hindi vocabulary and change forms to match your audience. For example, you may prefer bahut instead of bohat.

Keep control of every word

Automatic transcription can miss a name or switch languages at the wrong place. Listen to the clip and correct the words before applying a style. Each word and its timing can be edited.

Choose from a collection of caption styles. Change a word’s font or colour, move it on the video, resize it or tilt it. Preview the result on a phone-sized frame before exporting.

Video captions and subtitle files

Export a captioned video to keep the chosen lettering and animation. Download SRT when you need the text and cue times in another editor; SRT does not preserve visual styling.

You can also paste your own Roman-letter script or lyrics and review the alignment. This is useful when you already know the exact words you want displayed.
